Directions for Visitors

The ANU is located in Acton on the north side of Lake Burley Griffin, just west of the Civic Centre.

To catch the bus to the ANU either take route 3, which travels through campus half hourly from Woden, Civic and Belconnen, or one of the other services travelling frequently past the edge of campus on Barry Drive and Marcus Clarke St and to the nearby City and City West bus interchanges (see map of buses travelling past the ANU then check the appropriate timetable).

Driving from Sydney, drive south along Northbourne Avenue, turn right into Barry Drive, then left at North Road. This takes you to the northern end of campus, near the University Union and Sports Union.

Driving from South Canberra, take the Tuggeranong Parkway following the signs to Telstra Tower, then taking the exit on to Lady Denman Drive, turning left at the end of the off ramp. Follow Lady Denman Drive which converts to Clunies Ross Street until you reach Dickson Road. Turn right into Dickson Road to enter the western part of campus.

If you are coming via the Commonwealth Ave Bridge, take the City West exit on the left, then travel along London Cct, turn left into Edinburgh Ave, right into Marcus Clarke St, left into McCoy Cct and cross Liversidge St into Garran Rd.

Parking is available on campus, however it is limited and prior to arriving you should check the public parking map and information on parking available for visitors.
