Traffic Regulations

Traffic on Campus is controlled under the provisions of the Australian National University Parking and Traffic Statute. This gives traffic officers the authority to issue infringement notices where they perceive that a violation of the Statute has occurred. To ensure that staff and students are not inconvenienced by inconsiderate drivers, traffic officers regularly patrol the campus. Penalties vary depending upon the offence, however, they currently range from $72.00 to $200.00. If you receive an infringement notice you must pay within twenty eight (28) days or you will incur an additional $30.00 administration fee. The appeal process is detailed on the reverse of the infringement notice.

If you wish to dispute liability for the infringement you must lodge your appeal in writing within twenty eight (28) days to: The Manager, Parking Administration Office, John Yencken Building (Building 45) Or by sending an email to parking@anu.edu.au.
NB If you choose to send an email you must include the infringement/ticket number and your mailing address as replies to applications for withdrawal are not able to be sent via email.
